Creating An Authentic Brand Is Savvy Business

By the year 2044, groups now seen as the minority will be seen as the majority. Why shouldn’t they have the opportunity to be successful now?

Businesses have to have some sort of DEI statement in place. If your brand isn’t ready for you to step up and help them, you’re doing yourself, and everyone else, a disservice. Sticking with your DIY brand is costing you time, money, and the opportunity to be effective in these corporate spaces.

The work we do is bigger than us and it’s bigger than a brand. You have to be bold because you’re going to be stepping into spaces where most people probably don’t look like you and they don’t understand the importance of why you’re there. You can’t do your work halfway.

It’s time to step into the big leagues and start treating your business with respect it deserves and transform it into the powerhouse that you are destined to be.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Hello.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Hello.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Hello and welcome.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Welcome.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Welcome to the final episode of season one.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Have you guys had fun?

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Like this has been a ball for me.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

I have loved it.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And I've loved sharing all this branding information with you all straight.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

No chaser, snatching edges, yall, edges.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

All right, none.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Don't come asking me for no lace front girl to cover up some

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

edges on a snack, but no, let me get straight into episode six.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And tell you that you really do need to do this right now, fix your brand

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

and not later, and you really need to do this right now for several reasons.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

But the first reason I want to bring to your attention is that by

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

the year of 2044 groups seen as the minority will be seen as the majority.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

2044.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Why is that important?

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Because if we're going to be the majority, or if these minority groups are going to

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

become the majority, there is no reason that these groups of people should be

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

overworked and underpaid and not seeing.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

In the spotlight of being successful.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

That makes no sense.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Another reason why you need to do this is because of the need for diversity equity

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

inclusion in the workspaces organizations.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

to put out some of these RFPs or requests for proposals, they must have

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

a DEI plan statement, something in their repertoire to be able to do that.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

They have to, and if you don't have your brand together, when you can

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

step into those spaces and help them fix that, help them check the

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

box, help them change the culture.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Then you're doing not only yourself, a disservice, but you're doing them

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

a disservice because they're going to continue to just be flapping

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

in the wind shooting from the hip.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You have been putting off doing this brand for a long time, you have been holding

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

onto the little raggedy, CAMBA logo that you created, that you can only make so

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

big, that you can not, do certain things with because you didn't know any better.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

If you'd have made it to episode six, you know, better now it's time to do, better.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Passing up on the opportunity to not because your brand is costing

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

you, time is costing you money and it is costing you the opportunity

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

to be effective in these workplaces.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Remember, in the beginning, I talked about those ladies as six, triple

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

eight, if you don't go back and listen to episode one, but to give you a

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

little, Brief, these ladies are six trouble, eight we're in world war two.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And they just now got their flowers from the work that they done in More than half

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

of them had passed away, but they all.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

The only all black female battalion in the United States army.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And you never hear about them.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

This is why your work is important.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

This is why you need to start thinking about more than, well, I don't want to

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

spend the money on a logo on a website.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

I'm just going to do it myself, because it's bigger than

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

you is bigger than a brand.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And this costing you clients money in time.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Creating a brand that's authentic is savvy business.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And I know you savvy.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

I know you're smart.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

I know you are bold anybody in the DEI space, that's willing to

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

stand up for what they believe in.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You have to be bold.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You can't be timid because you're stepping into that don't understand or

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

they haven't embraced the fact that.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You have to be diverse, equitable, and inclusive to

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

make the world a better place.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You are stepping into spaces that many people probably don't look like you.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And that's okay.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

That is okay.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

But you cannot step into these halfway doing it.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You can't do it.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

And choosing to be halfway.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Is choosing to sit on the sidelines.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

You got to know what I'm about to say point blank, period.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

The end to get off the sidelines.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

It's time to stop playing with your business.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

It's time to stop letting opportunities pass you by because you're selling from.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Uh, Google document and people cannot research who you are on a website.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

So I'm the stop depending on Facebook and Instagram, why you're selling

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

a high ticket 10 K plus offer.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

It is time to step into.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

The big leagues and play with the big kids and start treating your business

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

with the respect that it deserves and transform it into the powerhouse that you

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

are destined to be is time to show up.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Bonafide.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Uh, an authentic and magnetic and captivating.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Don't put it off.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

I know you probably thinking, well, I'm going to do it next quarter.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

I'm gonna do it next year.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Are you really?

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Because you've been putting it off for a long time.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

time to make a step forward, stop playing around and start acting

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

like it's more than a brain.

Lindsay Tramel-Jones:

Y'all we made it that's episode six and I look forward to seeing you guys soon.
